We sell apparel, home goods, unique gifts, and Missouri-made crafts.
We provide a space for people to attend a class, plan an event, launch a book, or host a puzzle night - your ideas are our assignments!
[Jay and Sherry] share a his-and-hers workshop, turning out pens elegant, practical and quirky in woods and fine materials to sell at select shops and art fairs. Shop for their work at Artisans in the Loop in University City and at the Nook in Ladue.
Shopping at The Nook Gifts & Gatherings benefits St. Louis Children's Hospital! The Ladue-based shop that sells apparel, home goods, unique girls and MIssouri-made crafts donated almost $6,000 in its first year.
Buying a special gift for someone (or just something fun for yourself!) brings a rush of warm feelings, and it’s even more satisfying when your purchase helps someone in need. Proprietors of The Nook, a new clothing, gift and accessory store in Ladue, are banking on that idea—and so far it’s working, according to founder Mary Lemkemeier. She and business partner Laura Goodloe debuted the volunteer-operated shop in February, and all profits from its sales benefit St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
The Nook is more than just a new Ladue storefront – it’s a place that combines shopping and educational classes with community and goodwill. Ladue News spoke with Mary Lemkemeier, founder of The Nook, about what visitors can expect to find in store and how The Nook has something for everyone.
